A contemporary Japanese dining experience.

The owners of The Winey Cow engaged Musubi Brand Agency to develop designs and plans for their new venture - Thieves’ Market. A restaurant of the future.

We created a new direction for a new Japanese restaurant, future-proofing it for the next five years. We developed an interior design that would achieve a fitout period of 10 days and within a budget of under $100K.

Musubi asked famed Japanese architect Victor Isobe Owner, Zen International, to take out design direction and design the the new restaurant while the Musubi team created a brand that represents what they believe in as an restaurant.

At the heart of their brand was a creative idea – ‘Artisan Larikan’. This creative idea helped capture the Australian nature of Mornington as well as express the high-end and skilfulness of the kitchen staff.

Focused on a pure look.

For this Thieves’ Market, we wanted to combine Japanese food style minimalism with individuality and down to earth food styling.
